No, that's not the worse assault on my senses these people do...

  Can't I get through a program without seeing a mangy dog or cat which needs a bullet put in it's head?  Thanks PETA and The Humain Society!  Oh, and nevermind eating while watching the tele.  They've the audacity to interrupt, bless us with photos of the blistered/mange infested beasts, and ask for a donation.
     Hell, we're too busy taking care of the Homeless and Strarving Children in the "Developing World". 
     And, as bad a waste as that is; with animals, it seems WE'RE somehow reponsible for the mutt's living a long life; regardless of quality.           

I've  better solutions.   One is from the good old days.  Used to be that the hapless creature was kept 5 days and euthanized; simply bring that procedure back. 
The second is even better; Let the Administrators take a pay cut and stop bleeding us! 
     Then, there's  the Celeberty Spokesperson.   Does anyone think they'll not be taking their appearance fees off on tax forms? 

P.S., I always check to see what % of the budget for such organizations comes from The Central Government.  I'm not ever surprised by those percentages, but check this out on all chrities.   When you find you've already given at the office; put away the checkbook.

Nouveau Vocabulary...

 

"Reality Show People"

That's today's linguistic find.

       Used as new phrase to deride people one doesn't care for; perfect for ascribing someone to a Lower Class. 

     When "Trailer Trash" is too low a blow and one needs a synonym for "Low Class Trash". 

Some attributes of the ilk:  (It's a work in progress, but here we go)

-If you have a colored laptop, and you are over the age of 16...(especially, if out in public)

-If you are a woman over the age of 25 and still trying to talk in that cute "little girl's voice"...(plus it's just sad)

-If you walk the walk and talk the talk, but never pick up the tab for lunch or dinner out with freinds...(as outings on reality shows are paid for by producers)

-If you use multisyllable words you think mean what you are trying to say, but create a gaffe for lack of a good education...

-If you think you're beautiful and have "attitude", but still have buck teeth, a bad nose or sun wrinkled skin...

-If you use the speaker on your cell phone while with others...

     As for the phrase "Trailer Trash", it's in no danger of becoming archaic.  There's still a place for it.  Let's say when a little girl goes missing in Florida or the local authorities bust a Meth Lab.  What?; the truth will stand.

Geithner BBQ On Capitol Hill...

     The Joint Economic Committee is grilling Tim Geithner on Capitol Hill, today.  Looks like the Honeymoon is over for The Adminstration.   This guy is just another "Liberal Mafioso" in League w/ Obama.  However, one almost feels sorry for him.  He's brilliant; but one must think he's second guessing his decision to leave N.Y.

     His boss is finishing up Asian trip; coming home with nothing.  He did get in a "Townhall Meeting" in China; filled with his usual hyperbole.  His welcome wasn't exactly that of his experience in Germany before the election (Globalizaion of Democracy?).   Can one imagine "Town Hall Meetings" getting him elected, again?  What a difference REALITY makes...

"Village" Indeed !...

    
     "It Takes A Village".  The philosophy involved is a blueprint for The Globalization of Democracy; a fool-hardy goal.  I am an Isolationist, anyway, but this strategy will always be doomed to fail.  We need to face the fact that we are losing the American Way through trying to bring the rest of the World with us.  Hey, wake up!  Let's take care of our own problems before we try to take on other's.  The Central Government may be trying to produce a "Mother Government" to take care of the masses.  Let's just be sure all the "children" are her's.

     

 And speaking of Villages, we got a taste of a "village" on Sept 11, 2001.  We've been paying for  "Globalization" ever since.  For those who are against the Patriot Act enabling the surveillance of foreigners; let them take a good look at the image above...sometimes, a picture is worth a thousand words.

China's Dupe...

     Yeah, I too was wondering why China's Stimulus Package was working and "Our's" wasn't.  The are thriving because they have backed Free Enterprise (bet your parents never thought they'd see that in China).  We have poured stimulus into Social Justice Initiatives instead of our Free Enterprise Engines (know as BUSINESSES!).
   

      To think of Obama in Communist (gee, must have forgotten that) China extolling the virtues of the American Way while attemping to cripple it at Home; well, no one accuses him of not having nerve.  It took very little nerve for the Chinese tell Obama to take his "Chinese Cap and Trade" Plan and stick it...

     Well, the Obama Administration was on a roll this past week.  The issue, here, was the dicision by Eric Holder for the terrorist to be tried in New York Civil Court.  If I was the Defense, I'd be smiling.  First up will be Change Of Venue; then, the Miranda Rights Issue.  Was my client torture to get information?  Well, strap yourselves in for the circus which will be in NYC. 

     I think as for "torture", they should have tied them spread-eagle in the Guantanamo Sunshine for a couple days and then "discuss" the situation with a cat-o-nine-tails in hand.  Alas, this is America (and don't tell me they didn't take THAT into account when attacking us).


     I have aquaintances who are Muslim (real Muslims, not the American Convert type).  They are beside themselves dealing with the stigma these animals have brought to their Belief.  Even they are not happy about footing the bill for this scum.  And make no mistake, we'll be on the hook for their support the rest of their natural lives.  Oh, yeah, they're seeking the death penalty, but when's the last time THAT worked?  May as well get "Season Tickets" to this thing to cover The Appeals.

     Then, again, I know New Yorkers.  Let's be placing bets on whether they'll chase this show out of town...

NObama Recieves NObel Peace Prize!

     

     Now, in his defense, even he was emBAR(E)rASSed by this. This action just goes to show how insignificantly pop cultural the Nobel Organization has become. What were they thinking? Where they attempting to make a fool of Mr. Obama?, of America? It's early, but I want to know their rationale behind this move. To give this "esteemed" award to someone who has done NOTHING to improve the prospects for peace in the world is beyond me.

     Sure, speaking softly to terrorist nations while carrying a stick with the same impact as a feather boa may temporarily APPEASE those goons. However, they'll need to be delt with by the NEXT ADMINISTRATION and the language will be harsher and the stick will have to be MUCH larger.
     My first thought was this was the "booby prize" for Mr. Obama's ill-advised jump across the pond to secure the Olympics for CHA. It must have been a rude awakening for The President, His Wife and Oprah to know that not all the World falls for their jive. [And boy, did we dodge a multi-billion dollar Central Government Money Bleed on that one!]
     That was my first thought, but the Commitee must have had this in the works for months. How many months has Mr. Obama been in the White House?
     Oh well, in the Big Picture, this means nothing. Too much to do on the tax front for the protection of our capital gains. If the Cenatral Government has it's way, having a brain won't matter, because they'll punish achievement.

WHOSE FAULT IS IT ? Would you run that by me, again.

A favorite segment of Network News, nowadays, is: "The Family In 'Crisis' and How They're Coping".

     Usually some couple who are, at least 30 pounds overweight sitting on the perfunctory battered, rundown sofa (charged @ Rooms To Go). While they're telling their tale of woe.  Lost Union Jobs (which between salary and benefits, helped to drive the factory they worked at into the ground), about to lose Unemployment payments (really?, last time I checked the Central Gov't is going to continue supporting SLOTH) and don't know how they're going to cope as a Family.

Well, let's take a look around.

     "Sissy" is in her bedroom texting (if not sexting) friends. They have the unlimited plan on the new cell phone (what better tool for these people?).

     Heaven forbid, she should be reading a book or going online to improve her knowledge of the world. There are shortcuts on her desktop! (American Idol, America's Got Talent, 3 for [mindless] Chatrooms, "Current Events" [nevermind, it links her to MSNBC]). 11 year old Sis is only 10 pounds overweight, but she's working on it which is evident by the half-full pack of Oreo Double Stuff at the foot of her bed.

     "BoBo" is riding around the back yard on one of the ATVs they "own" (local Yamaha Dealership owns the paper).

     He's a chip off the ole block (an apple which will never roll far away from the tree). Dressed in camo, he's a husky lad, 17 pounds overweight from sitting on his already lazy ass. After he's done with his ride, he can go to his PC and expand his knowledge. Opps!, I was mistaken(his desktop has A.I., A.G.T., 5 Chats, "Current Events" [S.O.S] and 7 Video Games).

     The house this brood lives in was nice. They could well-afford a house for $120K, back in 2006. This abode, of course, costed $205K.

     They moved in and CHARGED: the dining set and china cabinet, the sofa, big screen t.v., entertainment center (signed up for Premium Cable), "master bedroom" suite, new bedroom suite for Sis (pink and yellow), computers for Sis and Bo, repalcement dishwasher, gas grill, and above-ground swimming pool (a true testament to a household budget out of control).

They've also "PURCHASED" (read: charged or financed):   a second ATV (how are father and son going to go hunting w/o individual rides?), new GMC truck for Dad (Central Government owns the paper on that), Dodge P/T Cruiser for Mom (Fiat owns paper on that one), patio set, La-Z-Boy recliner, and riding lawnmower for their 1/2 acre estate (w/small trailer and snow blower attachment); Heaven forbid any one of them walks that blubber off, or grabs a snow shovel to clear that 20 Feet of driveway.  
      They have spent countless dollars on hobbies.  Week-end hunting and camping [equipement inclusive].  SCRAPbooking & crafts (towit, Mother has been so prolific that the house looks as if a "tacky bomb" has been detonated).  Not to mention, sporting events and vacations (perfuntory and always the beach). 
    Countless dollars were spent "dining" out at McDonalds or Applebees or I.H.O.P (and make no mistake, when this lot "strapped the feedbag on",  small and medium sizes need not be offered). 
     They shopped at Sears or Target (which they refer to as "tar-gea") or Best Buy .  They had now-defunct Credit Cards at these stores, so money was not an object.  Speaking of which, their credit cards are in default and the "Big Bad Banks" are going to charge them higher interest on the next credit lines they apply for!  What nerve...

One gets the idea of how fiscally inept these people were, but PLEASE, let their tale of woe be a PRIVATE AGONY. Those of us who did not have their resources to squander after our SAVING and INVESTING do not need to see this.

     Unlike my other ventures into the "Blogoshere", this Blog is a bit different.  Here, I'm going to be giving my opinions on today's News, Culture, The Market, et. al.  For those who are familiar with my sites, you'll find this one more informal and I'm ditching whatever PC I have (not much).
